Inspiring Resilience - Empowering Lives

Our vision is a world where everyone all of ages living with inflammatory arthritis can freely pursue their dreams and live life to the full.

As people maybe aware, the vote on the 1st July 2025, on the Universal Credit and PIP Bill showed how poorly thought through the Bill was. The Government have now backed down on the most damaging parts of the Bill affecting Personal Independence Payment (PIP).
This is not an out-of-work benefit. It’s a disability benefit designed to help with the extra costs associated with having a long-term health condition or disability, whether you’re working or not. It can be a lifeline for people with inflammatory arthritis and other long-term conditions as it helps people live independently, not just survive.
Now that it’s being rethought, it’s vital that the voices of those with inflammatory arthritis are front and centre. Real experiences must shape any changes to the welfare system, because it has to work for the people who rely on it. IAUK will be working with the Government and other advocacy groups to make sure those with IA have their voices heard.

Please do listen to Inflammatory! episode 7 Redundancy to Routine, where we discuss working with IA.
